Penicillin G Procaine ............. 10,000,000 IU

Benzathine Penicillin G.......... 10,000,000 IU

Dihydrostreptomycin (Sulfate)...... 20.00 g

Indicações:

Penfort PPU is an injectable product indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by the following susceptible etiological agents:

Cattle-abscesses and infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory and reproductive tract, caused by: Trueperella pyogenes, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Moraxella bovis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae.

Pigs-abscesses and infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract, caused by: Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Clostridium perfringens.

Equine-abscesses and infections of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tract, caused by: Proteus mirabilis, Shigella flexneri, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes.

Method of Use and dosage:

Penfort PPU is indicated for cattle, pigs and horses.

Injectable product, ready for use, should be applied intramuscularly deep, using needles 25-30 mm long.

The maximum volume per application site of 10 mL must be respected, if the volume is higher, it is recommended to divide it into two or more application sites. The recommended dosage is 1 mL of the product for every 8 kg of body weight, which corresponds to 25,000 IU of penicillin and 25 mg of Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate per kg of body weight. Treatment in a single dose.

The effectiveness of antimicrobials depends on the sensitivity of microorganisms to the active ingredients that make up the product and the proper care of the recommendations of the veterinarian who prescribed the drug, such as dose and time of treatment.

Cattle

SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF TREATED ANIMALS SHOULD ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 38 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

MILK: MILK FROM ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION UNTIL 18 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

Pigs

SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF TREATED ANIMALS SHOULD ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 28 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

Equidae (Equus caballus / horses)

SLAUGHTER: THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE APPLIED TO EQUINES PRODUCING MEAT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
