Maxicam 2%, made from Meloxicam is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory derivative from Enolic Acid, of the class of Oxicams.

Indication:

Maxicam 2% is a non-steroid anti-inflammatory with selective inhibitor activity of Cyclooxygenase-2 (cox-2), that provide double therapeutic benefit, resulting in an excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and exudative activity, with minimum gastric lesion and ulcerogenic effects. Besides these benefits, Meloxicam also inhibits the infiltration of leukocytes on inflamed tissue and prevents bone and cartilage destruction that happens in locomotor system degenerative processes.

Maxicam 2% is indicated in inflammatory processes of bovine, swine and equine, such as:

• Locomotor system pathologies and musculoskeletal diseases, such as: myositis, tendinitis, osteitis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthrosis, synovitis, myotendinous lesion, traumas, claudication, navicular syndrome, laminitis and adjuvant in fracture repair.
• Eye conditions: uveitis, conjunctivitis, post-operative.
• Reproductive disorders such as retained placenta.
• Metritis and mastitis.
• Analgesia pre and post-operative.
• Adjuvant in the treatment of bacterial or chronic infections (pneumonia and diarrhea) and feverish conditions.

Directions and Dosage:

Maxicam 2% must be administered intramuscular or intravenously, once a day (every 24 hours), or according to the direction of the veterinary.

SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 15 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

MILK: THE MILK OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST NOT BE INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION FOR UP TO 05 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION OF THIS PRODUCT.
 

EQUINE (Equus caballus/ HORSES) AND SWINE

SLAUGHTER: THIS PRODUCT MUST NOT BE APPLIED TO HORSES PRODUCING MEAT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
