Action:

Progesterone liberated by the device reaches supra-luteal levels (above 1 ng/mL) a few hours after its insertion, with a significant effect on the follicular dynamics and on estrous cycle. In association with estrogen, Progesterone causes regression of the dominant follicle and start of a new follicular phase. After the removal of the device, and the consecutive decrease in Progesterone levels, the blockade of the hypothalamic-hypophyseal axis is released, allowing the final follicle development and ovulation. Various protocols, associating Progesterone to other hormones, were developed with various purposes, such as: estrous synchronization and ovulation for fixed time artificial insemination, recipient synchronization, programmed donor super-ovulation, among others.

Indication:

Control of estrous cycle in cows and heifers (beef and dairy cattle).

Directions:

With the use of a specific applicator, insert the device in the vagina of the animal, leaving the plastic tail of the product out of the vulvar vestibule, for its subsequent removal.

The length of the treatment must be 7 or 8 days, or at the discretion of the veterinarian.

Administration Route: Intravaginal route.

BOVINE SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 21 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

THE PRODUCT DOES NOT REQUIRE GRACE PERIOD FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF MILK FROM THE TREATED BOVINE.
