Purpose of the Test:

Concluse FeLV is a kit for rapid and qualitative detection of the causative agent of feline leukemia from a sample of whole blood, serum or plasma of cats.

Composition:

Test device: anti-FeLV monoclonal antibodies.
Test solution: buffer solution for sample dilution.

Test principle:

FeLV is a primary immunochromatographic serological test.

The test device consists of a nitrocellulose membrane in which the Test Line (T), impregnated with anti-FeLV monoclonal antibodies, and the Control Line (C), impregnated with the control reagent, and a polyester membrane impregnated with monoclonal antibodies conjugated with colloidal gold particles (conjugated gold).

When the device is filled with the sample and the test solution, the conjugated gold migrates with the sample by capillarity, allowing them to come into contact with the anti-FeLV monoclonal antibodies that are present in the Test (T) line.

If the tested sample is positive for the antigen, the result will be visible within 10 minutes in the form of a reddish or purplish line in the area of the Test line (T) of the device.

If the result is negative, the Test line (T) will not be formed.

The solution and the conjugated gold will continue to migrate through the device, then producing a line in the Control Area (C), due to the encounter with the control reagent, regardless of whether the test result is positive or negative.
