Purpose of the Test:

Ehrlichiosis is a kit for rapid and qualitative detection of antibodies to the causative agent of ehrlichiosis (Ehrlichia canis) from whole blood, serum or plasma samples of dogs.

Composition:

Test device: recombinant antigens of Ehrlichia canis.
Test solution: buffer solution for dilution of the sample.

Test principle:

This is an immunochromatographic primary serological test.

The test device consists of a nitrocellulose membrane in which the Test Line (T), impregnated with recombinant antigens of Ehrlichia canis, and the Control Line (C), impregnated with the control reagent, and a polyester membrane impregnated with recombinant antigens conjugated with colloidal gold particles (conjugated gold).

When the device is filled with the sample and with the test solution, the conjugated gold migrates with the sample by capillarity, allowing them to come into contact with the recombinant antigens that are present in the Test Line (T).

If the tested sample is positive for the antibody, the result will be visible within 10 minutes in the form of a reddish or purplish line in the area of the Test line (T) of the device.

If the result is negative, the Test line (T) will not be formed.

The solution and the conjugated gold will continue to migrate through the device, then producing a line in the Control Area (C), due to the encounter with the control reagent, regardless of whether the test result is positive or negative.
