Indication

Estreptomax^® is an antibiotic bactericidal, indicated for bovine, ovine, caprine, swine and equine, with its main activity against gram negative bacteria and variable activity against Gram positive bacteria.

Bovine, ovine, caprine, equine and swine:

Leptospirosis (Leptospira spp); dermatophilosis (Dematophilus congolensis); Actinobacillosis or wooden tongue (Actinobacillus lignieresii); Gastroenteritis and pneumoenteritis in young animals (Pasteurella spp, Staphylococcus spp); Pneumonia and Bronchopneumonia (Pasteurella spp, Salmonella spp, Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp); Infectious arthritis and polyarthritis (Streptococcus spp); Cutaneous infections such as abscesses and pododermatitis (Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp, Salmonella spp); Mastitis (Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp, Salmonella spp); Metritis and pyometritis; Cervicitis and vaginitis (Pasteurella spp, Streptococcus spp, Staphylococcus spp); Sinusitis (Staphylococcus spp); Nephritis and cystitis (Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Leptospira spp); Vibriosis (Campylobacter fetus).

Directions and Dosage:

The medicine must be administered only through the intramuscular route. Draw in a sterile syringe 15 mL of the diluent, mix with the powder and shake well before applying in the animal.

The recommended dose is 1,5 mL for every 50 kg bodyweight, which is, 10 mg of Streptomycin per kg bodyweight, for all the target species with intervals between 8 and 12 hours, and it must not exceed 7 days of treatment.

For leptospirosis:

Bovine, ovine, caprine, equine and swine: It is recommended the dose of 1.5 mL for each 20 kg bodyweight that corresponds to 25 mg of Streptomycin per kg bodyweight, in a single dose.

For the treatment of vibriosis:

Proceed to washing and massaging the penis and its foreskin for approximately 5 minutes with a solution of Streptomycin obtained through diluting 5 g of powder in 90 mL of an oily vehicle, such as liquid vaseline, once a day, for three consecutive days.

The proposed treatments may be modified at the discretion of the veterinarian.

CAUTION: COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING GRACE PERIOD

SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 05 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.

MILK: THE MILK OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST NOT BE INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION FOR UP TO 01 DAY AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION OF THIS PRODUCT.

EQUINE (Equus caballus/ HORSES) AND SWINE

SLAUGHTER: THE SLAUGHTER OF THE ANIMALS TREATED WITH THIS PRODUCT MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT 05 DAYS AFTER THE LAST APPLICATION.
