Indications:

Maxicam 2.0 mg is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitory activity. The selective blockade of COX-2, provided by Meloxicam, confers a double therapeutic benefit, as it results in an excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiexsudative activity with minimal gastrolesive or ulcerogenic effects. In addition to these benefits, Meloxicam also inhibits the infiltration of leukocytes into inflamed tissue and prevents bone and cartilage destruction that occurs in bone and cartilage degenerative processes.

Maxicam 2.0 mg is indicated as analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antiexsudative for medium to large dogs, being especially indicated in painful or degenerative pathologies, acute or Chronic, of the osteomyoarticular apparatus, such as: osteitis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, ankylosing spondyloarthrosis, coxofemoral dysplasias, calcification of intervertebral discs, fracture repair, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). arthroplasty and trauma surgery.
