Each 100 ml contains:

Meloxicam .......... 0.20 g

Vehicle q.s.p. .......... 100.0 mL

Indication:

Maxicam 0.2% is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory with selective inhibiting activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), which confers a double therapeutic benefit, resulting in excellent anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-exudative activity with minimal gastrolytic or ulcerogenic effects. In addition to these benefits, Meloxicam also inhibits leukocyte infiltration into the inflamed tissue and prevents bone and cartilage destruction that occurs in the processes of degenerative inflammation of the locomotor system.

Maxicam 0.2% is indicated for general inflammatory processes in dogs and cats, such as:

• Acute or chronic painful or degenerative pathologies of the osteomioarticular apparatus: osteitis, arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylosis, ankylosing spondyloarthrosis, coxofemoral dysplasia, intervertebral disc calcification, fracture repair, trauma and postoperative arthroplasty.
• Eye disorders: uveitis, conjunctivitis, postoperative.
• Reproductive disorders such as retained placenta.
• Pre- and postoperative analgesia.
